VAT Changes at Amazon - Clearification!

@dynasty101 This same stuff happen to one of my Italy company, but when we get the UK Limited company Amazon stop holding the VAT Amount. Seems the seniors are confused with the previous policy and mingling non-UK Companies with Non-UK Owners. If they are correct in their understanding, then @slds provide the proper official policy links or if there isn't any then it is better to not make it a rumor.

@dynasty101 so far as per the recent development here are something happening:
1) Thos who are about to begin their business in UK need not to be registered until they cross £85000 revenue. But as soon as they do it's mandatory to be registered in UK VAT and follow all compliances.
2) Those who were VAT registered but have compliance issues such as not doing proper tax filings are going to be affected as HRMC can do audits of records filed in the last 5 years so it's something based on audits.

For existing products they will be automatically registered in FBA light and for new product as of know I could not find way to register.

Ohhh no!
This happened to us 3-4 months ago.
Our LTD is with pakistani details and selling in all europe. We were on our peak, getting around 500€ net profit a day. However, it wasn't so long we get this for one week then one day when i get up account was deactivated. I checked and the notification was "your country of business establishment is different than one in which you are selling". It was very strange , we were thinking that because we are selling in all europe so they deactivated us. We tried and opened many cases, the support team was as useless as usual. They were asking to wait & each time with very illogical answers. We did everything for our company then we realized let's try updating VAT. In short, after 3 months Amazon activated our account. The reason was VAT.
Even they hold our payment of more than 5k€ for 4 months.
So my suggestion to all sellers is to contact with VAT filing attorney & pay all pending fees & charges as soon as possible. Otherwise, seller support team will confuse you so much.
Regards!
